Hire a Personal Trainer Hire a personal trainer to weigh, measure, and customize your workout. I did and it was the best decision I ever made.
Always be ready Always have your exercise clothes, a bottle of water, and shoes ready to go.
Eat Clean Eat 6 meals a day, protein at every meal, a lot of water, and complex carbohydrates throughout the day. Don't skip meals. See www.eatcleandiet.com for more information on eating clean and the book I reference.
Eat Clean Ask questions - everyone at Neolimits is friendly and approachable and is always happy to answer any of your questions. That's how I learned about clean eating and how to exercise.
Keep Track Keep a journal of what you eat and your exercise regimen. This really helps when you wonder why you aren't losing weight and helps you to see what you are putting into your mouth as well as your activity.
Plan Ahead I can make a lot of what I eat during the week on the weekends. That way I can bring lunch to work or have an apple to grab on the go. It's kept me out of trouble and from binging.
Keep Training Rehire a personal trainer, as I have, to reassess your current fitness goals and to shake-up your workout if you need a new one. It's amazing how our muscles get used to the same workout.
Keep Good Company Surround yourself with others that have been successful in losing weight and working out. There are a lot of good role models out there and I know they would be happy to share with you how they've gotten to where they are at.
HAVE FUN! The most exciting part about my weight loss journey is to see how big my clothes have gotten, the compliments from friends who haven't seen me in a long time, and just the overall energy and confidence I have gained from losing weight and becoming stronger. It's definately a life change that I'm going to make a permanent part of my life. See you at the gym!
