    Benefits of Personal Training

    Improve your overall fitness
    Create a program that is specific to your needs and abilities in order to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, endurance, posture, balance, and cardiovascular health. Your trainer will monitor your progress and appropriately adjust your program as you go.

    What to expect from Personal Training

    Nutrition
    Proper nutrition is vital to your success in this program. The Pro Fitness meal planner is a computerized plan, which includes real foods that you are most likely already eating. The key to the program is the ratio of proteins, carbohydrates and fats and the portion sizes. Your individual daily caloric expenditure will be determined based on your body fat percentage and a caloric prescription will be made.

    Resistance Training
    Your resistance training program will be designed to work all the major muscle groups, paying special attention to the body's core musculature. The core musculature are those muscles that make up the trunk. They are responsible for posture, spinal support and stabilization and many other very important functions.

    Be sure to point out on your forms any limitations you may have due to injury or illness so that your program may be adjusted accordingly. Keep in mind that muscle is active tissue and that it burns calories (1 LB burns 30 to 50 calories per day), so as we build muscle we increase our metabolism!

    Cardiovascular exercise
    Improving cardiovascular efficiency is a key element to any fitness program. To insure that you are training at the optimum level Pro Fitness will provide you with a heart rate monitor that is detected by our treadmill. The treadmill will set your target heart rate and adjust the incline automatically in order to keep you at the prescribed heart rate.

    Lets get started!
    As you begin your exercise program, keep in mind that we are going to ease you into the exercises. The first week of the program may seem easy to you. This is how we help your body acclimate to the exercises and your new activity level. You may notice some minor muscular soreness as your body adapts to the increased workload. This is a very normal and will only last the first few sessions.
